- What’s the difference between a WaterBar and a water filter jug?
Like a WaterBar, most filter jugs use a filter to remove substances like chlorine from tap water. Chlorine is added to water to prevent Bacteria breeding in water. However once the chlorine has been removed, water can become a breeding ground for bacteria.
That’s why our WaterBars have a UV lamp, to Inactivate these microorganisms and prevent them from multiplying once the Chlorine has been removed from water. In fact our WaterBars kill 99.99999% of health- concern waterborne bacteria in water (*)
Not to mention our WaterBar removes the need for re-filling jugs, taking up fridge space and needing a separate kettle.
(*) as proven by Israeli standard for domestic drinking water treatment appliance standard 1505 – using 4 groups/strains of water borne bacteria (E.coil, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, total coliform, fecal coliform, streptococcus groups count)

- What if I move house?
No problems. We’ll send you instructions to disconnect your WaterBar. Take it to your new home and we’ll send an engineer to re-install it at no additional cost.
- What if I change my mind?
Choose either of our plans and try for 30 days. Change your mind before 30 days from your installation date are up and we’ll collect your WaterBar and cancel your plan no strings attached. After this point you can cancel at 12 months by providing notice to us 30 days prior to your 12 month anniversary. We’ll then collect your WaterBar and end your contract.

- What does it filter?
Sand, rust, metal filings, stones, silt, cyst reduction. Organic compounds, micro-living organisms, bacteria and Chlorine.

- How much power does a WaterBar use?
It goes without saying that everyone uses their WaterBar differently but to help answer this question we have carried out independent testing alongside the Water Regulation Advisory Service to compare the power usage of a WaterBar to a domestic kettle.
For the purpose of the test our T6 WaterBar was tested based on:
- Filling 4 mugs per day with boiling water
- Allowing 8 hours per day for the Waterbar to be in energy saving mode (typically when you are sleeping)
- Including all power used by the WaterBar whilst on standby
The WaterBar returned an average energy usage of 0.025kWh per use or 128.448kWh per year
In comparison boiling a kettle returned energy usage of 0.11kMh per usage or 169.433 kWh per year.
That’s 32% more energy per year used by the Kettle than the WaterBar.
It’s also important to consider that according to the Energy Savings Trust 75% of people admit when boiling a kettle they boil too much water each time using even more energy and 40% of households in the UK actually boil the kettle more than 5 times per day.*

- How is a WaterBar installed?
Your WaterBar will be installed by one of our own EDWCA certified engineers. Installation requires a 6mm flexi tube to be connected to your mains supply through a small pencil-sized hole in your kitchen counter. The WaterBar can be located anywhere within 1.5 meters of an electrical socket and within 15 meters of the mains supply.
What if my worktop is granite?
No Problems. Our engineers have had special training and the right equipment for counters made of granite, marble and corian work surfaces. As a result, everyone can enjoy the delights of our triple filtered water whatever your kitchen.
- How does payment work?
Upon ordering you’ll pay an installation charge of £29. Once your WaterBar has been installed this is non refundable.
On the date of installation your monthly plan will begin and we’ll take either £19 or £23 (depending on your plan) via Direct Debit and then on or around that date every month for the duration of your plan.
