Here at Virgin Pure we’re all about helping people to drink more water. But what about drinking only water?
We’re 48 hours into our 10 day challenge of drinking only water, and our lives have already been shaken and stirred.
I asked the VP crew to sum up, in three words, their experience so far of going H2Only. Here are some of the responses I received:
Bashir: Severe caffeine deficiency
Paul: Not enough tea
Erin: Thinking about coffee
Ben: H2O… Hard 2 Operate
Jess A: Yesterday was painful!
George: My head hurts
David: I want elderflower!
Steph: Substituting with food
Oli: Endemic stimulant addiction
The conclusion? We’re struggling. But we’re hard-headed folks here at Virgin, and we eat challenges like this for breakfast. That and Coco Pops.
But even in the most difficult and un-caffeinated of times, we’re reminded exactly why we’re doing this.
The Royal National Lifeboat Association (RNLI) is the charity that saves lives at sea. Last year alone RNLI volunteers helped to save the lives of 460 people, and help 28,000 more. The work they do is invaluable, and the RNLI has put together a video to thank those who make it possible. Seeing those lifeboats out at sea sends shivers down our spines, and suddenly our coffee craving subsides.
Even if you’re not taking part in the H2Only challenge, you can help the cause by donating or getting involved with their important work.
In the meantime, watch this space as we press on with our watery challenge.
2 down, 8 to go…
